Well I realize that it has been forever since my last update... but things have gotten a little hecktic around here...
So I had my baby girl on March 5th 2007. She was born at 10:05 am. 6 lbs and 0 ounces. 19 inches long.
I went in the night before to begin the inducement process. And I started labor at about 3 am. I then asked for an epidural at 3:30ish... My hubby could tell you about the right times... Recieved the epidural at 4:30ish. And promptly fell asleep. At 7am the doctor came in to check on me and be there when they started the pitocin. And she figured that she wouldn't have to be back until the afternoon. So she went to her office across the valley. Two hours later they checked me and I was ready to start pushing the babe out. So they then called the doctor to have her come back. Luckily my drugs worked wonderfully and I was mostly asleep through apparently the hardest part of labor. :D
We had to wait for a while for the doctor to get to the hospital. But once she got there the baby was out within like 20 mins. She did have a little bit of trauma and wasn't breathing when she was born but they fixed that very quickly. I held her for about 3 seconds before they took her into the nursery to get an i.v. put in her little hand. She was beautiful. And I was soooo happy to see her finally.
But the whole thing felt a little weird... I was just happy to be there having my daughter. My husband and the doctor were both a bit surprized at how I acted... I guess I was too calm for them. The doctor asked if I had taken any anti- depressents before delivery. Because my daughter was acting just as calm through all of her stuff she was going thru.
Anyways... now she is 2 months old and doing wonderfully... Most nights she only wakes up once to eat. And lately this past week she has been sleeping 7 hours straight at night. Then in the morning she will wake up, eat and then go back to sleep for another 2-3 hours. I guess I am blessed for all of that.
It is very interesting trying to get used to life with a baby. Trying to take care of her, the house, and my sweet hubby... oh and then trying to take care of myself.
So here are a few pics of her....
