Blessings...

It has been a fairly hectic week around here again. Meeting, scouts, work, clean, try to do fun things with the girlies, work, clean, get things ready for the YM/YW Carnival tomorrow, start some of my own projects, take care of the plants, laundry, get the girlies signed up for swimming lessons, exercise, take care of animals, the list goes on and on...

I got a lot of things done too...

All the while trying desperately to keep my head above the water and stay sane... at times I was more successful than others I will admit I had a few rough hours. But I had help from some good friends and family.

Now today. I started out with a good workout at dance at 6 am. I got home and got the girls fed and Stu off to work. I fed the animals and myself. Yes in that order. Unfortunately, I couldn't get myself going, in any sort of fashion, to get what I needed to get done. In fact as I sit here now I should be doing more.

However, I did get my house more cleaned and then I got my Thing 2 down for a nap and when I did that I found that I lost all of my energy. I needed to sleep. So I took a short nap my own self. And then I found I could get going on some of the projects that needed doing.

First on the list. Bread dough, I want to make a bread sculpture for the Auction at the carnival tomorrow. Ok, done... Next, I shall make the fudge I promised... No sugar in the kitchen, it's all right I have some in my food storage, right? Go downstairs to check... What... NO SUGAR!!!! Well I can't do anything with out sugar... and I used the last of my eggs to make the bread dough... can't make the cupcakes that the girls want to make and decorate for the auction... Stu is on his way home... do we want to go bowling... I would love to get out and go but... Too much to do... He meets up with his dad and picks up the dunk tank that he rented for the carnival. He wants to drive his dad home in the Pilot... Sure it drives nicer and such... he comes running in to tell me that my Pilot's rear tire has a huge bolt in it and is completely flat... What!?! I have been driving around that car all over the valley this week... No I didn't notice anything... Well they take off the tire and get it fixed and while they are gone I feed the girls and give them a bath. Stu drops off his dad and picks up the missing ingredients and comes home. We have now made the cupcakes and they are in the oven as I am sitting here...

Stu has gone bowling...

I should be making fudge... I think I will do that after I put the girls down for bed... and then I will drink another Dew... Maybe...

The Blessing that I am talking about... My lack of energy, made me wait until Stu was home with his Father to get my cooking done. If I had tried to go out and get the ingredients earlier in the day I would have probably been in some trouble and had the girls with me. Instead, I taught my Thing 1 a lesson on why I want her to clean up her messes with out my help. And I got some rest in my busy life... Even if I had a little more stress this afternoon than I would have liked.

Sometimes, I need to take a step back out of my life, and see myself for who I am, who my family is, and where we need to be headed. Also if we are not headed the right way, why and how to fix that. Clear my head find my Father in Heaven and listen. He has answers. I know it. Sometimes they just need to be seen.
Good night all!

Okay, Okay.... Audrey turned 5

My 1 week old Audrey in the small Kettle at "Chocolate Boppa's" Candy Store

Yes, I know she turned 5 three months ago... And I have been putting off this post for a little while now. She has had so much going on, and I have had so much going on... but some how I can post about other things...

On her 5th Birthday!
She is growing up in so many ways. She now sleeps on the top bunk of the beds put together, she adjusted very well to that. She loved Preschool so very much and was constantly learning all sorts of things there.

She has graduated Preschool and is impatiently scared about going to Kindergarten.

She is growing taller and taller all the time... And her hair just keeps getting longer... It goes down past her waist... In fact I need to get her into a salon to get it trimmed up and looking nice... But first I must work up to that...

She is getting better and better about eating food, though that has been a hard fought battle. This last Saturday she actually offered to eat a bite of Baby Back Pork ribs. She was sooo excited to try it from when her daddy told her he was going to make it the day before. Then she looked at it and got a little scared. But decided that she had to try just one bite. She said she liked it and then went to play some more computer games. After about 5 mins or so she came back out and said she wanted more of that... but the idea of the bones still kind of creep-ed her out... So she had me cut off the meat and the outer crust that was just a little too spicy for her. But then she finished off everything that I gave to her to eat! And still raves about it! She also doesn't want me to eat all of the left overs... :)

I am still having a hard time trying to balance where my attentions are going and trying to give both my girls the attention they so need. But that is something I have to work on. Audrey can count up to 100 by herself, and she actually counted up to 1,000,000 with the help of her dad. Counting first to 100 by 10's, to 1,000 by 100's, and so forth until they got all the way to One Million! She had to call me at work to tell me what she had done. She was sooo proud! And so was I!

Showing her hair
She can read more and more. But mostly she only reads when she thinks no one is paying attention. Like when we are driving down the road, and she reads the store signs. She knows a few sight words and I need to work on those more with her before she starts school up. She can count random objects. And so forth...

She is becoming quite the little dancer. And absolutely loves her dance class still!

Pink is, as always, her most favorite color... and she also loves to wear anything that is animal print or pictures of animals...
Her favorite animal is the Zebra... right now

She went to her first dental appointment with a Pediatric Dentist. And tried sooo hard to be brave. Though she did cry a little. She wanted to be able to do what the dentist asked her to do. But once she saw the x-rays of her teeth show up on the screen in front of her... Mere seconds after they took the shots, she became very easy to work with. She Loves to take pictures of herself, and was thrilled to see her teeth like that... So they were able to take several shots of her teeth... to make sure they got them right. And they found that she had 8 cavities... oye... So we had to talk about getting them filled. We decided to try the Nitrous Oxide... to see if she could do it that easily... The dentist talked to her about it and we showed her what things would look like and she tried on the mask. And we set up the appointment for the next week. The dentist also gave me a list of what terms they use for the different tools and things that they would be doing...
 She was marvelous... :)

She ended up having to go in 2 times to get 4 cavities filled but by the last time she was a pro.... And our dentist office is magnificent! She still has 4 cavities that need to be done but they wanted to give her a break so we will have those one's filled after her next visit in Sept or Oct.

After her birthday but before the Dentist visit... Audrey took 2nd place at her first Pine Wood Derby with the ward! Here are some pics of her winning car and our not so winning cars...

Audrey's Car!

with the Family of Cars... in order from left to right: Dad's, Mom's Audrey's and Ellie's

Audrey and Ellie painted their car's themselves. And Dad and Grandpa Wayne engineered and built the cars. The race was lots of fun! We can't wait for next year's race!

Gotta love the Zambonis!
Audrey loves hockey so we took her to the local Hockey Team's Game the night of her birthday... The Utah Grizzlies!  She loves them!

 Cheering on her team!
