A Philosophical Child

I needed to tell you a story about my Audrey before I forget it. Sorry things have been a touch busy around here. I will update everything in another post or 4.

We received 4 free tickets to the Children's Museum here, and we went on the 31st of March. I however forgot to take the camera so we didn't get any pics, sorry. The girls had lots of fun. Though Audrey seems to be too big for the younger kids area and not quite big enough to really have fun in the big kids area. (More on that another time). However this story happened when we got home that night and were eating dinner.

We were sitting down to eat our Mac & Cheese. I was a little tired so, while we were chatting I wasn't really thinking about what Audrey was saying to me.  In the middle of our conversation she said, "I wish the museum had things about outer space.". All I thought at this point was, "okay, next time we will go to the Planetarium." Next thing I hear from Audrey, "Wouldn't it be cool if all of outer space was just a giant book? And we were still alive but just really, really small and living on one of the pages." (I may have gotten a little of what she said written wrong here, but this is really close to what she said.)

I nodded and said yes, yes, eat your food. And I didn't think much about what she said.

The next day I took a nap and when I woke up, it dawned on me what she had said to me. And how really deep that thought was. Just a strange thought but it showed me that my 5 yr old little girl can understand or at least comprehend some really abstract ideas. And that she has those really abstract ideas floating around in her little brain.

Any how, I felt I needed to write that one down. So sad that I didn't get it down sooner.
