Oh wow....

So yesterday was an odd type of day. All day long I was feeling just a little bit weird. I went out to lunch with my in laws, we had a great time! I ran an errand and go home. And all of the sudden I feel very very tired. Like I just can't do anything tired. Almost like I have taken a benedryl. And my very full stomach feels very empty even though I know it is full, almost like I just have a hole where my stomach should be.

Odd...

My sweetheart comes home from work and we get ready to go to the theatre. Both me and the hubby are working this show. I am single cast and he is double. We need to drop the babe off at my parents so they can watch her for us, by 6ish. I make dinner, my stomach feels better. And off we go.

On the way to my parents, we see an ambulance heading to the hospital, lights flashing. No biggie, Stu pulls over and lets it by.

At times I have problems with stairs and heights. I am not completely scared by them. I just freeze and I can't move, but usually I can pinpoint the reason for freezing. As I was walking up the stairs, babe in arms, to my parents apartment, I froze. I couldn't move my legs, just for about a half second. Because I wasn't holding on to the railing, (babe in arms) I had to force my self to move or I would fall down. So I made my legs move, but they wouldn't move very fast. And I still had to get to the top floor. I was on like the first floor when this happened.

I wasn't even looking out over the edge or anything.

I finally make it to my parents house and have to sit down for a second and regain my composure. We talk for a second and I head back down. Man, my legs are killing me. And they are shaking like jelly. What is going on?

I get back to the car and we head out for work.

Now Stu doesn't always take the same ways when he drives... he likes to spice things up a bit... ;P And he decided to change his path today. Not doing anything really crazy.

He slows down to stop for a red light, but before he even gets his foot on the brake the light goes green for us. So he puts his foot back on the gas and starts to go straight thru the intersection. And as we enter...

A huge white SUV comes flying thru the intersection from the left of us. Stu hits the brakes and tries to turn the car, but we get hit anyways. Apparently the SUV drives over the front of my car gets some air and starts to spin. It rolls onto its side, and then onto its top. I think this is one of the most terrifying things I have seen, as of yet, in my life.

I call 911 once it dawns on me to do so. People outside of my car are telling someone to do it. So I do. People show up from everywhere checking on everyone. Making sure we are ok, making sure there are no kids involved. Since Stu and I are ok he gets out of the car and asks about the other car. I talk to three people at 911 and by the time I get off the phone I hear the sirens coming.

I try to get out of the car and my door won't open... And I realize I should call my parents. I wasn't thinking very straight, Audrey was with them, she is fine... but oh yeah I should tell them what has happened. Like I said we were only about a block away from them. So my dad comes down almost immediately.

Stu calls work and tells them we will be late if we come in at all. I call them back and ask them to get someone to cover us. I don't think we will be able to work at all. We are just shaken up pretty bad, but I am not thinking we would have concentrated enough for it.

News gets to a few people and my friends from work call to make sure we are ok. (Thanks for calling :D )

There were at least 2 witnesses who stuck around to give statements to the police. She ran the light very red and the policemen had no problems with considering us the "victims".

There was an off duty police officer there with his wife who ran over to help out almost instantly. He got a little cut up trying to help the lady in her car. They had to get the jaws of life to cut her out of her car. And she had some cuts and at least one broken bone. So they took her to the hospital to get her checked out. But we were assured that she was going to be ok.

She was the only person in her vehicle.

I am pretty sure my car will be totaled this time. I will miss that car. It was a very good little car. And I don't know that I will be able to find one as good as it. We are pretty sure the frame was bent, as I couldn't get my door open and we were hit on the drivers side of the car.

Anyways we were incredibly lucky. if we had been going just a little bit faster she would have plowed into Stu and that would have been even scarier. But then again if we had been just a little bit slower, we wouldn't have been hit at all.

All in all, I felt the presence of Angels keeping us safe. And I am sooooo thankful that my baby wasn't in the car.
